Atsushi Nakajima, an orphan kicked out of his orphanage for being useless, accidentally saves Osamu Dazai — a suicidal detective from the Armed Detective Agency, an organization of people with supernatural abilities named after famous authors. Atsushi discovers he has a power of his own and gets recruited into a three-way war between the Agency, the Port Mafia (also named after authors), and an American organization called the Guild. Every character is named after a real literary figure and their powers are based on those authors' most famous works. It's as weird and brilliant as it sounds.
